Leo Conference 2009
Dear District 11-E1 Club Officers:
It is with great delight we invite interested members of your club to our annual State Leo Conference. It will be held at Camp Tuhsmeheta (Greenville) on Saturday, February 28, 2009. Camp “T” is south on Lincoln Lake Road off M-57 west of Greenville.
This invitation has already been sent to each CHARTERED Leo Club’s Advisor in our district along with all the sitting Governors and Vice Governors within the state. Our goal as a Leo Committee is to get 100 youth in attendance to become involved in (L) leadership, (E) education and (O) opportunity for greater service and achievement within their own communities and the world at large.
If your club has discussed the possibility of chartering a Leo Club or are currently in the process of chartering, this is a great time to bring “interested youth and a potential advisor” to see first-hand a little of what Leo Club is all about. There will be opportunities to interact with Leos from across the state forming friendships through our Lions sponsored events! Please feel free to make as many copies to disperse as necessary.
Each person attending must complete and return a Registration Form and fee. (Only Leos and “potential Leos” need to complete the Medical Form and return it)
I hope that your schedule will allow you or a member of your club to come share the day with us. There will be an activity time OUTDOORS, so proper clothing and footwear is recommended. Chances are really good there will be a covering of snow!
